Be positive, mothers!

I was on the computer, when behind me FM 93.5 announced a mother who felt utterly lonely because her children have grown and gone their ways. I think we mothers need to be wiser and more organised for this phase of ours. We are so busy with motherhood and its responsibilities that we stop thinking about ourselves. And if we are not strong enough, depression hits us in a phenomenal way.
We need to understand that this is life and we need to equip ourselves well for this phase of ours. Mothers who have nothing much to do after the kids have left should look around for support groups and friends, should look around for mental survival for this is also the time when menopause hits us. We are a selfless breed, overburdened with responsibilities, and that is why we are so very good in multi-tasking. Most of us don't even look after our health, so busy are we playing 'mother'. Our health deteriorates towards the end and most of us have to take to the bed, depending on others where we used to take care of so many members once upon a time.
